The North Fayette Township Parks & Recreation Department is pleased to present a variety of family-friendly community events throughout the year.  

Easter Egg Hunt

The Annual Easter Egg Hunt is held at Donaldson Park. Pictures may be taken with the Easter Bunny while enjoying other fun activities. Sections are divided by ages 0-2, 3-4, 5-7, 8-10.

North Fayette Community Days

Community Days 

The North Fayette Township Community Days takes full advantage of everything that Donaldson Park has to offer, including its ample space for the wide range of food vendors, businesses, and organizations that show up each year to make the fair possible. Kids enjoy activities such as inflatables, pony rides, a petting zoo, and games. Community Days events start in the early afternoon and continue with a full entertainment schedule throughout the day. The night closes out with a fireworks display.

Please note that a Kickoff Parade will not be held.

Community Days 5K, 1-mile Kids Run, and Family Fun Walk

Celebrating its 27th year in 2023, the race begins and ends at the North Fayette Community Center and follows Donaldson Road. Pace yourself for the monster hill up to Donaldson Park, where you will run a lap around the walking trail. Prizes are awarded to the top male and female finishers, as well as top age group finishers. All participants receive a t-shirt.

  • Entry fee: $15 for the 5K run, $5 for Kids Run or Family Fun Walk
  • Race options: 5K, 1-mile Kids Run (Ages 10 & Under), Family Fun Walk
  • Time: 7:30am registration with 9:00AM Race Start
  • Location: North Fayette Community Center parking lot

Car Cruise

The North Fayette Car Cruise benefits the North Fayette Police Department youth programs. Dash Plaques are given to the first 100 cars registered. Entertainment, 50/50, and refreshments for purchase are available. The People’s Choice Award is presented to the top three vehicles voted by participants.

Summer Concert Series

Sponsored by North Fayette Township and Integrity Financial Advisors. Enjoy this family-friendly event with food truck vendors and awesome music! Free Admission!

PALS Golf Outing

In 2023, we'll be planning the 11th Annual PALS Charity Golf Outing. This event benefits PALS, a community-based, volunteer organization dedicated to developing and facilitating structured opportunities for children and youth with special needs in our community. The golf outing registration fee includes light breakfast, lunch, award ceremony, Hole-in-One, Closest to the Pin, Raffles, Prizes, and Gift Auction.

Fall Festival

The Fall Festival features a costume contest for different age groups and categories. Area businesses and organizations distribute treats along with a Trunk or Treat parade. Crafts and refreshments are provided inside the Community Center. Email Darlene Hildebrand to participate in the Trunk or Treat event.

North Fayette Tree Lighting

Celebrate the holiday season with the Annual Tree Lighting ceremony. This free event features the lighting of the tree, holiday music, light refreshments, and a chance to see Santa cruising through Donaldson Park on a fire truck!
