Commercial Permits
The Township has adopted a Truth in Advertisement Ordinance for all Businesses. This ordinance requires all businesses to identify themselves as being in “North Fayette” and not “Robinson”, “City of Pittsburgh”, “Oakdale Borough”, or other locations. Please read over the ordinance carefully and contact our Community Development Department with any questions.
Construction documents for any commercial building permit must be signed and sealed by a registered design professional in the State of Pennsylvania and must be reviewed and approved by a third-party agency prior to submitting a building permit application to the Township. Review the list of certified 3rd party plan review agencies.
Permit Submission Required Documentation

Permit Turn Around Time
Upon submission of the required information listed above, the permit will be issued within 2-5 business days.
