National Traffic Incident Response Awareness Week

During the week of November 9-15, 2020, we would like to remind motorists to Slow Down, Move Over, and Be Safe.

This week is an opportunity to promote safety at roadway incident scenes for both the motoring public and the emergency responders who serve them. This year's theme reminds all that the lives of motorists and responders depend on effective actions by drivers and the highway heroes who respond to save the lives of complete strangers. Effective Traffic Incident Management (TIM) practices and a vigilant public that slows down and moves over to let them work and keep passengers safe, reduce needless secondary crashes, and save lives.

The goal of National Traffic Incident Response Awareness Week is to reach out to every responder, driver, and passenger to make it clear that every person has a role to play. More details are available at the TIM Network.

Please take a moment to watch the below video "Slow Down and Move Over" (0:33) and remember to keep emergency responders and yourself safe on our roadways.
