Local Services Tax

The Township levies a Local Services Tax (LST) to partially fund the cost of police, fire, emergency services, and road construction and maintenance.  LST is collected by the elected tax collector, Thomas Falcioni.

Tax Rate

The LST tax rate for the Township is set at $52 per year for everyone who works in the Township, including those that are self-employed.  People who earn less than $12,000 per year are exempt from the tax.  Tax collected is distributed between the Township and the West Allegheny School District, with the Township receiving $47.00, and the School District receiving $5.00.
